AppliedAI  is recruiting for the position of an Associate ML Ops Engineer in Abu Dhabi. The job requires making sure that the platforms for artificial intelligence technology are reliable, effective, and secure. This job involves skills in DevOps and Operations, and it focuses on scalability of infrastructure and production quality environments. Other aspects include SRE approaches, observability, incident response, capacity management, and cloud cost optimization.

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or a similar role, with internships and hands-on project experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the production environment in such a manner that the candidate is able to guarantee the availability, performance, and reliability of the system.
  • Cooperate with DevOps, MLOps, and development teams to resolve any technical problems.
  • Participate in observability, incident management, SLOs, SLIs, SLAs, under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and management of cloud cost for the systems that have huge request loads.
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, deployment, compliance with security requirements, and infrastructure improvement.

Qualifications 

  • 1-2 years’ experience as an SRE/DevOps or any similar professional. Internship and project experience are also considered.
  • Hands-on experience working on different AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, Fargate, API Gateway, Route53, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, IAM, and much more.
  • Hands-on experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles via CDK/Terraform.
  • Awareness of High Availability/Fault Tolerance, Disaster Recovery, Security of Infrastructure, Observability, and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Basic experience in automation & containerization with problem-solving approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification for AWS, Azure, or GCP with an orientation towards cloud architecture and reliability engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Next.js, Node.js, and Python in addition to hands-on experience with authentication mechanisms such as Auth0 and SSO.
  • Awareness about any compliance-related topics, such as SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS.
  • An interest in machine learning, large language models, multi-cloud and multi-region cloud architecture, and high traffic apps.
  • Awareness about database optimization, caching, CDN, ETL pipeline, vector, and graph databases.
