Job Description

The Space42 Company is recruiting a data scientist in Abu Dhabi who can handle big multimodal data sets to create solutions based on data to address complex business problems. This job entails performing analytics, using statistical methods, and developing AI models to help make decisions and innovate. The task of the data scientist is to collect, preprocess, and analyze various data sets, ensuring data integrity all along.

Experience: Experience as Data scientist or in a similar data analysis and machine learning role. 

Qualification: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and analyze big multimodal datasets, keeping the quality and integrity of the data.
  • Create and improve the AI models related to computer vision, pattern recognition, and anomalies.
  • Use statistics and machine learning approaches for trend identification, prediction and process optimization.
  • Work with data engineers on implementing analytical models and algorithms into production.
  • Communicate analytical results with non-technical people and keep the documentation for models, algorithms, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related subject area.
  • Experience as a data scientist or in a related data analytics and machine learning position.
  • Strong skills in programming using Python and expertise in handling data and analysis.
  • Work experience in building models for computer vision, pattern analysis, anomaly detection, or data mining.
  • Good knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, data preprocessing, and machine learning techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with information visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate analytical findings.
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other distributed computing platforms
  • Knowledge of machine learning model formats such as ONNX.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills for complex analytical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
