Job Description

The IT Delivery Lead is a technology role at Emirates that involves leadership responsibilities and includes working with cross-functional teams and delivering technological products through the completion of complex projects. The job role is concerned with infrastructure & cloud transformation projects involving platform automation, private cloud deployment, network infrastructure, cloud connectivity, and software-defined data centers. Project delivery skills are essential to handle planning, delivery, risks, dependencies, budgeting, supplier management, and technical backlog.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery efforts from technical backlog planning to execution to deliver business value on time.
  • Lead the cross-functional teams involved in the infrastructure & cloud transformation programs and technical product developments.
  • Implement Agile principles using backlogs, grooming, planning, standups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure risk management, dependencies, supplier management, budget, timeline, obstacles, and delivery management across complex programs.
  • Enhance stakeholder management through effective communication, expectation management, progress visibility, and alignment with technical product owners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or honors degree in information technology, computer engineering, software engineering, or any relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field of information technology and project delivery in large organizations with matrix structures.
  • Experience in infrastructure and cloud transformation initiatives with automation of platforms, private cloud, network infrastructure, SDDC, or cloud connectivity initiatives.
  • Experience in leading with Agile project management and delivery.
  • Stakeholder management skills, including risk management, dependency management, and expectation management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred certification for the IT Delivery Lead role is PMI-ACP.
  • Experience working on small to medium-sized technology change programs.
  • Experience with delivery tools such as Planview, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with vendors and technical teams in a global setting.
  • Understanding of delivery governance, continual improvement, accountability, and business-centric results.
