Job Description

SAP is hiring a forward-deployed AI engineer to develop production-grade, cloud-native enterprise applications with AI capabilities. The role involves building solutions using  large language models, RAG pipelines, and agent-related elements, as well as participating in customer initiatives. The candidates will have an opportunity to improve their skills in software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud technologies.

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop cloud-native applications that can be put into production through generative AI, large language models, RAG pipelines, and agent-based architectures.
  • Get involved in customer engagement, knowing business processes, technical expertise, and changing requirements of enterprises.
  • Design application features and AI components according to established engineering guidelines and coding conventions.
  • Help in developing prototypes of AI applications through testing, deploying, monitoring, and debugging.
  • Work collaboratively during code reviews, technical discussions, design, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Software engineering foundation skills, along with the practical knowledge of Python and application development.
  • Expertise in knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms, particularly LLMs, and machine learning frameworks.
  • Practical experience in setting up data pipelines, MLOps, and deploying AI/machine learning models.
  • Practical experience in using cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Git, Docker, CI/CD, etc.
  • Communicative, a team player, responsible, adaptable, and technology-orientated individual.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Development of software through practical exposure to use the Python programming language.
  • Practical exposure to use various machine learning platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, etc.
  • Expertise on SAP AI products, such as SAP AI Core, SAP Business Technology Platform, etc.
  • Development of cloud-native applications for AI-based enterprise solutions.
  • Excited to utilise the power of AI technology to address customer problems in an interdisciplinary engineering environment.
