Job Description

e& is hiring an expert engineer/network security professional to strengthen infrastructure protection across telecom, cloud, data centre, and digital services. The role is related to network security administration, firewalls, DDoS protection, security controls, troubleshooting, and infrastructure monitoring. The job description includes the management of security devices, behaviour analysis of attacks, access control policy implementations, and network security escalations. This position requires advanced technical skills in telecommunications, network infrastructure, security products, and enterprise security.

Responsibilities

  • Administration, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of network security infrastructure within telecom and digital services environments.
  • Management of security devices such as Arbour DDoS, Peakflow, TMS, and AED for infrastructure security.
  • Analysis of the behaviour of DDoS attacks and techniques used to develop security measures against them.
  • Configure and maintain ACLs, policy filters, firewalls, and security controls across high-end Cisco routers and switches.
  • Assess network architecture and coordinate infrastructure expansion, upgrades, and security planning for new projects. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering/information technology or any other relevant technical field.
  • Professional experience of five years minimum in the field of Network Security.
  • High level of expertise in security devices, infrastructure networks, the internet, cloud, data centres, and IPTV.
  • Expertise in MPLS, 3G, 4G, and 5G telecommunications infrastructure and their security needs.
  • Experience in design and implementation of information security products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to telecommunications environments where there is significant infrastructure involved and enterprise security operations take place.
  • Experience with design and implementation of information security solutions in network environments.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing security controls for telecom, cloud and IT services.
  • Security certifications like CCNP Security and CEH would be a distinct advantage for this role.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, firewalls, DDoS protection and other infrastructure security solutions.
