Job Description

Al-Futtaim is hiring an engineer for cloud security platforms in Dubai to support security tools across cloud and hybrid environments. The position requires the person to undertake the responsibilities of management of firewalls, WAFs, cloud security controls, incident response, vulnerability management, automation, and enhancements in security measures. Proficiency in cybersecurity, cloud platforms, analytical skills, and cross-departmental coordination are some of the attributes necessary for improving security operations and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational assistance for the management of security controls, such as firewalling networks, web application firewalling, and security groups within cloud platforms as well as cloud-native security services.
  • Be involved in the monitoring and recording of security events, be responsible for event handling and escalation where necessary.
  • Be involved in the vulnerability management process through system and tool versioning to the latest stable releases, involvement in remediation and coordination with governance teams.
  • Support implementation of new controls, automate repetitive activities, participate in security initiatives.
  • Work with InfraOps, governance, DevOps, and business teams to bring the best security practices into IT and business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in areas of IT security, networking, cloud computing, or related activities.
  • Experience in cloud technology, including Azure, OCI, and AWS, as well as cybersecurity basics.
  • Experience in cloud security technology, including Defender for Cloud, IAM, Security Groups, GuardDuty, and Sentinel.
  • Highly effective analysis skills, problem solving, communication, teamwork, and learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Real-world practical experience in implementing firewalls such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and Fortinet.
  • Experience in deploying WAF solutions such as Cloudflare, F5, and Imperva.
  • Hands-on experience with Zero Trust, least privilege, DDoS attacks, SQL injection, and other security threats.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, and Terraform.
  • Direct hands-on experience in cloud security initiatives, internal audit, and security assessment with multi-domain technologies.
