Job Description

SAP is hiring a Forward Deployed Application/ML Engineering Expert to build and deploy AI-powered enterprise applications. The role involves  cloud-native engineering, machine learning, agentic AI, and secure software architecture. The professional would work together with the client team, whereby they convert business requirements into scalable architectures and ensure successful application deliveries through AI-assisted engineering.

Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in software engineering, application development, and AI/ML solutions

Qualification: Relevant technical qualifications and practical experience in software engineering, AI/ML, and cloud technologies

Responsibilities

  • Build enterprise cloud-native applications with the help of large language models, RAG, and agents.
  • Work with client’s team to understand their business processes and technical infrastructure.
  • Translate business needs into safe, scalable, and sustainable architecture of the application.
  • Manage the entire life cycle of the applications, from prototyping up to deployment and monitoring.
  • Engage in AI-supported engineering and manage quality, technical risks, and development of software components.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in software engineering and application development in cloud-native, enterprise, and SaaS environments.
  • Exposure and understanding of AI-native apps, LLMs, RAG models, vector databases, and AI agencies.
  • Awareness of AI/ML libraries in Python, ML framework technologies, data pipeline, and MLOps.
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrating AI agents into enterprise operations and responsible AI.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, including mentorship of teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Awareness about AI capabilities by SAP including SAP AI Core, Vectorization, Joule Studio, RPT-1, and Business Data Cloud.
  • Awareness of concepts such as design thinking, AI assessment framework, architecture guardrails, and responsible AI.
  • Experience in handling full lifecycle application management right from design, development to deployment and production stage.
  • Awareness of concepts such as cloud platform, application integration, observability, and software reuse.
  • Experience in mentoring cross-functional teams for scalable solution delivery.
