Job Description

Etihad Airways is seeking to fill the position of Product Owner – Data Analytics at its Abu Dhabi location to manage Agile delivery processes while developing product backlogs and implementing the product roadmap. The role delivers features that comply with Definition of Done (DoD) standards while the team conducts customer analytics studies and works together with SAFe Product Owner teams to create effective data-based digital products.

Main Duties

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to define product strategy, vision, and roadmap.
  • Review, prioritize, and accept the team backlog, coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners.
  • Refine backlog items with clear descriptions, estimates, and priorities.
  • Ensure the scrum team understands required features and functionality for each iteration.
  • Detail and validate user stories and features against acceptance criteria and Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Facilitate demos and retrospectives, driving improvements in delivery quality and team velocity.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Engineering or a related field. 
  • Five years of product development experience in a data analytics environment. 
  • Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification or SAFe Product Owner certification or an equivalent certification. 
  • Demonstrates successful product development through execution and product launch while applying deep knowledge of customer experience (CX) principles. 
  • Extensive expertise in analytics which focuses on customer needs and uses data to guide decision-making. 
  • Essential product metrics which include product usage and product feature usage by users. 
  • Experience working with Product Managers to handle product integration across multiple products. 

Technical Exposure

  • Agile Methodologies: Scrum, Iteration Planning, Backlog Grooming.
  • Data Analytics: Customer analytics, usage metrics, feature performance tracking.
  • Product Tools: Jira, Confluence, backlog management platforms.
  • Collaboration: Stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination.
  • Domain: Airline operations, customer experience analytics, enterprise data products.
