Job Description

EPAM is recruiting for the position of Senior Forward-Deployed Engineer – Full Stack Engineer (Java/Python/React/Azure) for their office located in Abu Dhabi. The job position is client-facing, meaning there will be direct communication with the clients so as to understand the requirements for their business and convert them into technical requirements. The job involves full-stack development, where there will be application development using Java with Spring Boot and Python with FastAPI, along with React.js/Next.js UI and PostgreSQL databases.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with client stakeholders to implement business needs into actual implementations.
  • Implement backend using Java and Spring Boot or Python and FastAPI.
  • Create frontend with React.js and Next.js to improve user experience.
  • Develop PostgreSQL database, which includes designing of database schema and optimization of queries.
  • Deploy and develop applications on Microsoft Azure, including scalability, security, CI/CD, prototyping, and deployment on a production level.

Qualifications

  • Work experience in client-facing software engineering projects, especially those requiring embedded expertise.
  • Skills in programming using Java and Spring Boot framework, as well as Python and FastAPI.
  • Experience of working with React.js and Next.js front-end technology.
  • Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and RDBMS.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud computing and CI/CD deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability of doing things independently without much supervision.
  • Good communication and engagement skills among stakeholders in a consultative setting.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic languages with excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science/information systems/statistics or any related field.
  • Experience in working in Agile/hybrid settings with good documentation practices.
