Job Description

Sokin is recruiting for the Senior Fullstack Engineer position in Dubai. This job entails backend development and frontend engineering while being responsible for the end-to-end software development life cycle starting from ideation and design till deployment and production support. The role includes the design and implementation of scalable and resilient services using Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular, and SQL databases. 

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the entire process of software engineering, ranging from design to development and all the way to deployment and monitoring.
  • Work alongside product managers and designers to gain insight into customer requirements and meet technical requirements.
  • Make architectural choices and develop applications adhering to software engineering practices.
  • Build and manage full-stack applications by utilizing programming languages such as Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular, and SQL database systems.
  • Involved in monitoring applications, troubleshooting issues in production, managing incidents, and coaching junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Professional software engineering experience of a minimum of 5 years with complete feature ownership and delivery.
  • Proficient with the latest technologies and frameworks, cloud technologies, and CI/CD pipelines for full life cycle software engineering.
  • Knowledge in the procedures involved in transforming business requirements into technical solutions scalable in nature.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and supporting software applications for maximum performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience gained from working in a senior engineer position whereby the individual mentors others. 
  • Effective communication skills since this is important when working with various people.
  • Experience setting up a monitoring system, an alerting system, and an ops system for production applications.
  • Ability to be proactive in recognizing performance improvements and technical innovations.
  • Experience with contemporary trends and technologies in the industry.
