CPX is hiring a Lead SOC Engineer to strengthen OT cybersecurity across industrial environments. The role focuses on detection engineering, SIEM integration, threat monitoring, and incident response for ICS/SCADA systems. Key responsibilities include developing detection use cases, integrating OT telemetry, optimizing security platforms, supporting SOC operations, and maintaining regulatory alignment. Strong expertise in industrial protocols, cybersecurity technologies, and security operations is required.

Responsibilities

  • Create sophisticated examples of detection engineering scenarios, correlations, and analytics that can be applied in the OT environment.
  • Create SIEM detection scenarios and SOAR playbooks, which will enable automatic investigation and incident response.
  • Set up OT security platforms in order to improve asset visibility and monitoring abilities.
  • Integrate PLC logs, historian information, network telemetry, and asset inventories within security operations.
  • Work with SOC analysts and OT personnel in relation to improved monitoring, triage, validation, and incident handling.
  • Ensure strategy compliance with NESA, SAMA, NIST 800-82, IEC 62443, and industrial security principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or any other pertinent technical field.
  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in SOC operations with OT cybersecurity experience.
  • Good knowledge of ICS/SCADA systems and OT threat detection.
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools, like QRadar and Splunk.
  • Excellent scripting skills with Python and PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, CISM, GICSP, GRID, ISA/IEC 62443, Dragos, or Nozomi certification.
  • CCNP, CCIE, or other network certifications for cybersecurity operations in the industry.
  • Experience with practical use of communication protocols, including Modbus, DNP3, OPC, IEC 61850, and others.
  • Strong experience developing security monitoring strategies for complex industrial technology environments. 
  • Knowledge of the industrial landscape and security issues in the Middle East region.
