Job Description

Microsoft is hiring a Country Security Operations Manager to oversee security activities across data centres and related facilities in the United Arab Emirates. The position focuses on physical security operations, security governance, risk assessment, incident response, and operational resilience across critical infrastructure. The role involves leading security teams, coordinating with stakeholders and suppliers, monitoring country-specific threats, and strengthening security controls. Strong experience in security program management, people leadership, regulatory compliance, and risk management is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead physical security operations in the data centres by conducting assessments, reviews, and remediation activities.
  • Implement security processes, security operations standards, supplier coordination, budgeting, and security program maturity.
  • Generate security intelligence and risk management for the entire country in terms of new threats.
  • Manage distributed security teams via security program management, implementation, coordination, and performance management.
  • Coordinate physical security escalations effectively using triage, response coordination, and communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six years’ experience in security programs, security management, physical security or other relevant disciplines.
  • Possess strong expertise in security program management, governance, and control implementation.
  • Possess risk management expertise in security assessments, incident management, and business continuity management.
  • Ability to manage teams and coordinate geographically dispersed security operations and facilities.
  • Pass Microsoft, customer, and government security clearance requirements. This includes mandatory Microsoft Cloud background clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant work experience in security management.
  • Three years of people management experience in managing dispersed teams.
  • Certified in CPP, PSP or equivalent certification related to physical security operations.
  • Knowledgeable about regulation, compliance, auditing, ISO 27001, SOC, and PCI standards.
  • Awareness of threats, incidents, resilience, disruption, and risk management within the country-wide operations.
