Senior Project Engineer, DP World

Job Description

DP World is hiring a senior project engineer in Dubai to support project delivery within the WCS Project Management Office. The position focuses on project scheduling, tender management, budget and cost control, risk and variation management, stakeholder coordination, and project reporting. Strong engineering expertise, heavy-industry project management experience, and excellent communication skills are required for successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Complete WCS projects by coordinating with internal teams, clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Overlook the project scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk, variation, and deviation.
• Create and maintain project plans with the help of MS Project.
• Generate weekly/monthly project status reports and control the PMO performance.
• Complete multiple projects while making sure that safety standards/policies/budget/revenue objectives are met.

Requirements

• BSc in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or any other engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in project management within the framework of heavy industries.
• Sound knowledge of project planning, cost control, resource management, and risk management
• Good communication and presentation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
• Project management experience of multiple projects within organisational limitations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with maritime/port/terminal/logistics infrastructure projects.
• Experience with crane work and other lifting and industrial equipment.
• Experience with MS Project and other project planning software.
• Experience in the management of contractors and suppliers and other external stakeholders to the project.
• Knowledge of project tenders, contract management, variations, and compliance requirements.
