Etihad Airways needs a Digital Solutions Architect who will develop systems for the airline industry which can handle future growth. The team will work to integrate Amadeus platforms and APIs and eRetail services together with their operational systems while working together with other teams to create a business technology strategy that will drive digital transformation.

Main Duties

  • Design scalable digital solutions aligned with airline business goals, user needs, and system performance requirements.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into architecture solutions collaborating with stakeholders, IT teams, and integrators.
  • Oversee system integrations ensuring seamless data flow, interoperability, and performance across airline digital ecosystem platforms.
  • Evaluate technologies, ensure security compliance, and provide technical leadership following architecture standards and best practices.
  • Monitor system performance, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvements through innovation, tools, and methodologies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Position requires candidates to have at least 7 years of experience in solution architecture and complex IT project delivery. 
  • Possess extensive knowledge of Amadeus airline systems which includes booking engines and their associated services. 
  • Demonstrated the ability to create and execute enterprise architecture solutions that can grow across multiple systems. 
  • Have skills to manage stakeholders while developing IT strategies that support the business goals. 
  • Possesses practical knowledge of system integration together with API development and digital platform system design. 
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge about enterprise architecture frameworks and their associated implementation methods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidate has obtained TOGAF, SAFe Architect, Open Certified Architect and ISEB Architecture certifications. 
  • Possesses expertise in aligning business objectives with IT technological solutions through the implementation of agile and waterfall project management methods. 
  • Demonstrates effective communication and leadership abilities which enable them to work with multiple departments. 
  • Create enterprise architecture solutions that organizations can reuse and maintain over time.
