Job Description

Majid Al Futtaim is currently seeking a Data Architect in Dubai who will be responsible for developing enterprise architecture and improving data governance while creating scalable cloud systems. The position develops AI-powered innovations through technology strategy alignment with business objectives and the creation of integrated data systems and the maintenance of legal standards and the development of protected high-efficiency cloud data solutions.

Main Duties

  • Develop and communicate enterprise-wide technology and data strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead enterprise architecture design across data, applications, and technology domains for scalability and interoperability.
  • Create unified data architecture and modeling frameworks supporting analytics and AI use cases.
  • Design and implement Data Governance, privacy policies, and stewardship processes ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Oversee cloud-based data integration pipelines and modern unified data platform infrastructure.
  • Act as a strategic advisor translating business requirements into technical architecture solutions.
  • Promote secure, scalable, and automated solutions improving operational reliability and resilience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering or any associated discipline. 
  • 10 years of experience working in enterprise data architecture leadership positions. 
  • Demonstrates advanced skills in enterprise architecture frameworks and data modeling and high-capacity system integration. 
  • Managed digital transformation projects while providing strategic guidance to executive decision-makers. 
  • TOGAF Zachman and cloud/data certifications provide benefits to the applicant. 
  • Exceptional skills in leadership and communication and stakeholder management. 

Technical Exposure

  • Azure AWS and GCP provide software as a service and infrastructure as a service and platform as a service deployment options. 
  • Microservices and APIs together with event-driven systems and enterprise architecture frameworks. 
  • Data modeling tools, governance tools, integration of pipelines and predictive analytics systems. 
  • Able to use  Agile, Lean, SDLC and ITIL delivery practices for enterprise operations. 
  • Experience with technology transformation, AI/ML system implementation and enterprise data management systems.
